I contacted the tech-support of Mallory inquiring about the Hyfire 6 ignitions for my 96. I asked him what box would they recommend, and which harness adapter would I need for the Opti. He basically told me not to buy one, because the computer will sense the better spark, and retard timing and adjust the AFR. That I would lose MPG and not help my perfromance at all. I've installed an ignition in every car I've hotrodded and have been happy with the results. Has anyone heard of this before in regards to OBDII cars?
