2002 Electron Blue Coupe
Well, after 155,000 miles on my 2002 Electron Blue coupe I finally decided to do something about the accumalated road rash on the front end. Believe me it was real bad. I purchased the Dr. Colorchip kit that is advertised in Corvette magazine. I have never had real good results with touchup paint but thought I'd give it a try. I followed the directions exactly and at first thought I was making matters worse as the instructions are to dab and smear the touchup paint. It looked terrible. Then I proceeded to the blending step and holy cow, this stuff does work. It was so easy I was done in a few hours. No more rash and the car looks brand new. I would highly recommend to anyone with a case of the rash.

I am originally from St. Louis and I believe in Show Me. I thought about that when I started but was more intent on getting the job done. Sorry, no before and after pics. But believe me, it is exactly as advertised on their website. I couldn't believe it.

I've been curious about the kit too. Glad to hear you're pleased with the results. The chips have gotten pretty bad on my daily driver C5 so I may check into this as a winter project.

By the way, hello from the Mississippi Coast!!

glad to hear that Dr. Color Chip worked for you. I was considering it for a big scratch on my bumper, but read that it only works on smaller paint chips. I ended up ordering a spray can from Touch Up Paint Online - Remove Car Scratches. The paint arrived and the color is very accurate, I just have to get started on fixing the scratch one of these weekends.

After you did the repair, where the "rash" spots completly filled with paint or can you still see the depressions and there is only a thin layer of color over them? Thanks.
