Well, got new tires in May, set-up alignment as per "forum" comments, so far, after 3 lapping days and 5 autocrosss events tires are wearing evenly, albeit quickly. (Got the RE50's) Inspection this week revealed that I need new pads in front, yikes CDN dealer quoted $836.50 for front pads, and $654.16 for 2 rotors. Well here's a call out for what to replace them with. I am prepared to change out the front pads prior to track days, so am, looking for a track pad that will be kind to the rotors. Am discovering that there appesar to be many hidden costs to track days. So far am not discouraged. There is a slight lip at the edge of the rotors, was wondering if they need to be replaced, machined at the edge, or just have the new pads installed? Is it unreasonable to expect rotors to last for 2 set's of pads?
