Hey guys thinking about swapping out my heads on my 65', 327/365 for a Edelbrock or ? Want to run on todays octane.
I think I currently have a loose valve seat & I'm tired of the valves knocking as well.
Can anyone reccomend a make/brand of heads? I don't want to lose performance either.
Should I even do this?

I appreciate any help.

thx

I think just about any new head will be superior to your current heads. If they are the correct heads, don't throw them out.

Large flow numbers and large (>2.02) intake valves sound good but if you are looking for street performance, keep the intake runner size reasonable. The larger the runner volume, the higher the rpm needed to provide adequate filing. Put another way, smaller runner volume will give you better street perfromance. I spend most of my time below 5500 rpm but you may not.

Then the question becomes combustion chamber size, 64cc, 70cc or 72cc. Which pistons are you using? Once you have the facts, then you can dial in the numbers to show you which head to buy.

What he said, any of the major players heads will work, I have had the same set of Brodix street heads for 15 years now. First on a street rod they now reside on my 76 Like Kid said keep to the "street" side of the spectrum if thats where you will use them.

Thanks guys,
I'll keep to the street side of things & yes I do not plan to throw out the old heads.
Thanks again I'm going for it should be done in a month or so.

:)
Thanks again.
