Help! No Heat in my 84 xfire

Ok, if this is withOUT the manual fan getting turned on, then I stick with up-side-down thermostat.

That makes perfect sense...

Pellet side DOWN....crown UP.

If I remember correctly,. the machined recess in the block will allow the t-stat flange to sit in there either way.

This was a hard lesson

I finally got the problem solved. :happyanim:

In short the the hose fitting in the back of the intake had a piece of junk that would only pop up when the motor or "water hose in this case" was pumping water. removed junk and car temp and heater took off great. also did a smog delete, exhaust, and transmission at the same time next is the suspension. thank you all for your help.

I only paid 650$ for the transmission with my choice of stall seemed real reasonable for what all I got.

If you happen by Fordland Mo. come by my shop for free labor oil change. IE you pay for oil & filter, but i would be happy to do it.:w
