...we are official vette owners. Actually, it is my husband's new baby; I own one of those modified rice rockets domestic owners complain about ;)

However, I plan on being on this board a lot as I learn about his car.

For my first question, what COLOR is this car?? I was trying to look at the production numbers but I cannot pin this purple color down.

COLOR CHOICES

Arctic White, Black, Bright Aqua Metallic, Polo Green II Metallic, Competition Yellow, Ruby Red, Torch Red, Black Rose Metallic, Quasar Blue Metallic

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
T.

Congratulations!,
From your side gill panels, polished sawblades and what looks to be the 94 and up seats in the cockpit, you have a Black Rose Metallic 94. A total of 1,267 were produced ten years ago.

WOW -- so that is the color! Thanks - that sounds like it would be appropriate. It's a '93 w/71k miles on it. We just bought it for what I felt is a really good price ($11995). I cannot wait to start learning about this car.

Congradulations TK...Glad your not a bystander anymore...How does it feel not to be on the inside looking out? It was like making whoopie when I got my first. ;)

Hi JonM - thanks! Well, we will pick up the car on Friday/Mon so it has not quite sunk in yet. I can only hope it feels that great! :)

The car is absolutely beautiful and it is in amazing condition. I went to inspect it today and just fell head over heels. Then, since it IS my husband's car, I took him to look at it tonight, and my heart stopped again.

I first fell in love with vettes back in the late 70s. I used to sit on my driveway (I was about 8 or 9) and just drool over the one my neighbor had. Needless to say, I can't wait to wrap my hands around the steering wheel

Correction... you have a more rarefied color when it comes to the car being a 93. There were 935 Black Rose Metallic Corvettes produced in ‘93.

I got thrown off by the crop of the photo... the seats looked like the Lear designed seats that were intriduced in the ‘94s.

Congrats on getting a vette. I know I loved the first vette I got which was my 1980. I loved it so much that I decided to get another vette which is a 1991 :D. Hope you enjoy your vette as much as I have mine.

Glad to hear the good news!
Enjoy it and keep us posted once she is home -

Ahhhhhhhh....the feeling of being a first time Vette owner. I remember it well......21 years ago I bought an '80 vette. Black with oyster interior and only 2880 miles on it!!!!!
I remember that feeling so well, I gotta go get another one!!!!!!!!

Hey I actually looked at that car it was on ebay.Did they have it listed as the wrong year?I had noticed the pic of the owners manual was a 95 and they had it listed as a 93.I think it is actually a 95.If so you got a steal.Good luck and youll have to join us for some Atlanta get togethers.

Hey TKellarB

Welcome to the CAC.
That black rose color is unusual and very good looking. Post some bigger pics when you get a chance.
What's your "rice rocket"? car or bike?

Wow - you know, paintdaddy, I didn't even notice the photo of the manual. I wish the car was a 95, but the VIN states its a 93. I still feel we did get a pretty good deal as the car is soooo clean and sounds awesome. It supposedly has an $2000 exhaust on it, but just from looking at it, I think the broker was exaggerating that a bit. Still it just growls when you start it.

Hi MsSchroder - My rice rocket is a 01 Mitsy Eclipse Spyder - I have been learning about and working on my car for about a year now.

As of now, I have pushed the car to 220HP (it is 200 stock). However, by the time I put the RippMods Supercharger Drive System in it, I should be right under 400. However, that won't happen until next summer. Just working on cosmetics right now and I need to upgrade the brakes and clutch prior to the sds.

I have really enjoyed being a part of the import scene in Atlanta and am looking forward to making friends with the local vette group as well. :)
