Well they got the analysis back from wherever they sent the oil out to and it came back 4.7. Anything from 3-5 is critical and anything over 5 is dangerous. What suprises me is that they drained all the oil out of the car and put fresh back in, (but the oil they put back in reeked of gas you could pull the dip stick out and smell fuel). They had to of since they took the filter off cut it open and found shavings. So I just dont understand how that much gas got in the car from them running it 15 minutes or so. The oil looked brand new, so that tells me again it wasnt run long, and when I changed it it was exactly at the full mark and exactly 5 quarts, so I am a little confused on how gas is getting in and oil is getting out for it to remain at 5 quarts and not be over filled:confused .
They now want another 900 once its pulled out to rebuild it again. Which will be about 6-700 again. I guess they think they are giving me a deal, since suposedly its not there problem, with the gas contamination. I am still having an oil pressure problem. When I changed oil I preoiled the filter fired it up and no bearing knock at all, the lifters made alot of noise but no lower end noises. Couldn't the shavings be from the rings setting? To my understanding when you physically set the rings they arent perfectly seated properly, so wont you get some shavings? I thought that was the reason to change your oil every 4-500 hunderd miles for the first 1500 or so?
At this point I do now know what to do. If we try to sue them now I guess they will counter sue for having someone else look at it or something stupid like that. Sorry for the long post, just trying to keep everyone informed.
