Well they got the analysis back from wherever they sent the oil out to and it came back 4.7. Anything from 3-5 is critical and anything over 5 is dangerous. What suprises me is that they drained all the oil out of the car and put fresh back in, (but the oil they put back in reeked of gas you could pull the dip stick out and smell fuel). They had to of since they took the filter off cut it open and found shavings. So I just dont understand how that much gas got in the car from them running it 15 minutes or so. The oil looked brand new, so that tells me again it wasnt run long, and when I changed it it was exactly at the full mark and exactly 5 quarts, so I am a little confused on how gas is getting in and oil is getting out for it to remain at 5 quarts and not be over filled:confused .

They now want another 900 once its pulled out to rebuild it again. Which will be about 6-700 again. I guess they think they are giving me a deal, since suposedly its not there problem, with the gas contamination. I am still having an oil pressure problem. When I changed oil I preoiled the filter fired it up and no bearing knock at all, the lifters made alot of noise but no lower end noises. Couldn't the shavings be from the rings setting? To my understanding when you physically set the rings they arent perfectly seated properly, so wont you get some shavings? I thought that was the reason to change your oil every 4-500 hunderd miles for the first 1500 or so?

At this point I do now know what to do. If we try to sue them now I guess they will counter sue for having someone else look at it or something stupid like that. Sorry for the long post, just trying to keep everyone informed.

I spoke wrong they are charging me to rebuild it, since they had to rebuild it a second time because of the suposedly fuel problem that wasnt there fault.

Justin, your post and your situation is not clear. As you know I've been following this from the begining. Slow down, re-read your posts and be certain they make complete sense. We realize this is highly emotional for you.

As I've said before, I think you have a small claims situation here. We know from your posts that you didn't beat the car after the first rebuild, and it went TU immediately. Now, #2 rebuild, pretty much the same thing again, different excuse.

They don't have to change the oil completely to have the filter oil checked out.
So there could be gas in the oil without them Fing with it. But, as far as I know the only way that can happen is if it goes by the rings. Buiders problem that quick. rings not seated or? I'm sure I can be corrected on this, (and I'm sure if I'm wrong I will be), but (and), right now you need to take your time, be concise, and wait for good advice.

Something is WAY WRONG here, and you gotta give us ALL the info. Someone here will help. You might have to start a different thread. Take your time, and don't spend anymore money until you get a diffinitive answer to your questions.

Moonunit,

This has been very emotional for all of us. If you dont already know vettefan and I are brothers. I am going to sit down with him tonight and we will start a new thread, and detail all the things that have transpired this summer. It has been a complete nightmare.
