I'm a risk taker. I carry no tools in my Vette beyond jumper cables, a flashlight and the tire changing tools that were put in the car at Bowling Green.
Unfortunately, there is not enough room to carry all the tools that have proven to be needed to keep MY Vette going. I am unlucky, my Vette has proven to be the most trouble prone car that I've ever owned.
I have a pretty large 12 drawer rollaway tool chest with a ten drawer top box on top. It won't fit in the Vette, and even if it did, it wouldn't be enough.
I have another brand car that I gave to my son when he turned sixteen. At that point it had 453,000 miles. I carried NO tools in that car until about 300,000 miles and, until that point, I never needed anything more than the tire change tools put in that car at its factory.
I won't start a brand war here, so I will refrain from naming the brand of that incredibly reliable automobile. I will say though, that when the Vette does run, it's a kick in the @$$ to drive.
