On the Road Again!

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to show off my little '61. Got it back from painter today. It's painted the orginal fawn beige with white coves. Have owned the car since 1968. Has not been on the road since 1985. Has new windshield and dash, but the rest of the interior is still under construction. I am broke but happy! Car was and do have all original drive train, I installed a new 350 since I will be driving it frequently and didn't want to waste the original 283.

Have you folks got any idea on the best to insure for the classics value? Would appreciate your comments. Thanks

Now that you have your Corvette back on the road you must be in Corvette Heaven. Not since 1985? Wow. Congratulations. The paint job looks great in the picture.

If you mean an insurer, I'd recommend Hagerty; they know Corvettes, have reasonable rates, the best claims-handling reputation out there, and only write "Agreed Value" policies (the ONLY type of policy you want).

Thanks, John. I was referred to Hagerty by Progressive. I signed up after checking with a few others. Others had to have an appraised value. They sounded good to me. Thanks for you help.

Beautiful job on the '61. I bought my '59 in 1969 also and it's been off the road since 1971. I'm glad to see someone is making progress on their lifetime project.

I have had Hagery for a few years now and am finally at ease that my cars are covered properly.
