Well its been a while since I've posted.Been waiting for some parts and also descent weather to try them out.
After installing new pertronics ignition wires, fresh plugs, dist.cap, rotor, and set timing to specs, took the car out for a test drive and really thought I had everything running great.
The car was running very well, the car really took off when the secondaries kicked in.
Now my question..After driving it approx. 30 min. it gradually started running like crap again.Sitting at a red light you could listen to the side exhausts and tell it was not firing correctly. At acceleration I had decreasing power, even at gradual acceleration.
Thought I'd check the plugs once it cooled off,see if any looked fouled.I dont know, this problem sounds or seems so easy but I just cant seem to get it worked out.
A little history"Carbs have been totally rebuilt this winter.Pertronics pointless ignition installed"Car has never run very well past 4500 rpm..
Is it running rich? Lean ? Thanks again all, Jim
