Ouch Engine Damage

The ZZ4 is very stout and pulls like crazy from about 3000 to 5500 rpm.
Yeah, at 3000 rpm you are coming up on peak torque (3250 rpm) and 5250 rpm for peak HP.

Why do you need low compression for nitrous?? Alot of nitrous motors start with compression well above 12, even 15 -1.
I ran nitrous for years with a stat compresion of 11.4

That I am not qualified to answer, but I believe it has to do with pre-detonation in the combustion chamber and overall increased temps and compression. But I don't know for sure. I could be 100% wrong...

Takes a big man /woman to admit they might be wrong, but never 100% wrong :L
I wont run it with nitrous because of the possibility of the irregularities on the piston and head causing detonation and thus a molten mess.

(But the bottle is still in the car :) )

Yes.....it is. My 567 ft.lb. just ain't enough. Hmmm. What to do....what to do? ;)
Put it on the dyno at CruiseFest...
I'm also curious if your sidepipes on/off make any difference?

Maybe we can have a Dyno day "guess the highest number" contest with the winner getting a free hat. ;LOL

Could be interesting since I think RoadsterFan is planning on dynoing as long as it doesn't interfere with Beech Bend drag day...
