Paint Removing

Whats the best way to get paint off of 1972 side fenders egg crate louvers .With out hurting the metal. Rex:duh

The only way I could think of would be chemical stripper,it wont hurt the chrome.Or let them soak in either mineral spirits or acetone.Or walnut shell blasting.That wont hurt the chrome either as long as the person blasting isnt too agressive

I just did this using paint stripper. No problem. Used the paint stripper and removed all the paint rather easily. Cleaned them off using acetone and alcohol then primed and repainted them. Came out pretty good.

Previous paint was peeling. I hope the new paint adhers to the chrome.

thats always been an on going problem with those,nothing sticks to chrome that well.PPGs epoxy primer is probably the best thing to use before painting them but its still not full proof.
