I have a "97 A4 with K&N filter, MAF screen removed, and airbox opened.
What does everybody think would get me a little more torque for as little money as possible?
Will the power programmer work without a new exhaust system &/or low temp thermostat?
It is a costly item, but what do people think about changing the rear-end gear ratio for better acceleration?
I want more performance, but the wallet is not that fat.

I'd hang back and save your money..then do one big kill in a few years with like an AA Andy 5 grand supercharger.. or 8400 for a lingerfelter supercharger installed that comes with a 36Kmile/36 month warranty on the ENTIRE DRIVETRAIN..

Cool idea for a car that might be out of warranty altogether???

Throw down traps of like 127mph..

Till then enjoy the great car you own..(JMO)

Most bolt on mods are overrated although I have heard that with automatics..the preditor diablo something or other is a good mod for a4's...4-500 dollars and better than hypertech by a mile or so the end users are saying..

Good luck and enjoy that car

If U do use any type of pcm programer then I would change thermostat to vinci 178 degree..

You need to open up the exhaust. Mabe just a Flowmaster or something.
