Looks Great Dave!!!!!!!! :)

I'm glad you like the HP gain. After we sell the house and move, this will be my next project. I think i'll do a cam change next winter - Summer in Seattle is short lived! :cry

Since I no longer need emissions testing, I think the 2101 will be the way to go. Did you need to do any Carb adjusting or did you bolt and go?

So what's next on the project list???
Shawn

Hi Shawn, nice to hear from you again. I did not do anything to the carb. I just bolted it back on. It was rebuilt 2 years ago.
Next on the list.......hmmm lets see........just drive and enjoy it.
It doesn't need anything except the AC system needs some attention. I will probably let that go for now unless I get bored and want to start tinkering again.
I am saving for my 330 hp crate motor in about 2 years or so.
I hope your house selling/buying is going along well.

Dave

Wow!! Looking good, Dave. Job well done! ;) I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up and to purchase the books, and I'll be changing my gasket soon.

Good job!! :D

Bob - Distributor removal and install is a piece of cake.

That's what everybody tells me but not having anybody around here to physically help me I get nervous. I'll be posting for assistance as I need it.

Did you consider recurving your distributor while you had it out. I've read several posts that suggest that this was the biggest single improvement that they had done to date. Obviously no one had done cams or heads, but mainly exhaust, headers, air cleaners, etc. basically bolt on stuff.

Bob - 1981 distributors have no advance weights or vacum advance. It's all controlled by the computer. I am pleased with the performance of my stock setup. When I upgrade the motor in a couple of years I may can the stock setup for a non-computer carb-dist.
To be honest with you I had never done an intake or dist removal/install before myself. It was quite easy.

Cool.

What kind of motor are you going to install. I would like to get a crate motor with EFI already installed. Haven't looked at prices, HP, availability, etc. just know I like the ease of turnkey installation and the warranty that usually comes with it.
