When I press on the clutch to shift, there is a somewhat plastic-like short "crunch" sound on the way to the floor. Everything is solid & no issues, other than this funny and mildly annoying sound.

What is going on, and how do you remedy this? Its really seems just like an "auditory cosmetic" condition. I used to have the same exact thing occur for years when I drove a Nissan 300ZX. Thanks for your help! :)

I've heard the "wrong" clutch fluid will cause this. Some additive??

Anyway my kids Corolla does it & I may try chg the fluid to factory spec to see.

Just corrected the problem last night......all I had to do was spray the clutch pedal hinge area with WD40 and the noise is gone! :beer

Good work,

You may want to spray something heavier like white grease for a more long lasting fix, WD will wear off in a few months. Also ck if there is a bushing, they get elongated & need replacing sometimes.

Thanks Froggy, I'll make sure to do/check for that :beer
