bright red 1984 crossfire
now i cant be sure if this also pertains to later model c4's or not but i know for sure it had something to do with my 84! so i have changed every sensor there is in my car (and went through the same thing on my 82) and it always seemed to have a stumble somewhere in its stride... so the other night i was under the hood actually trying to find a bad plug wire and i heard a little hissing noise... so as i investigated further i traced it to a filter or check valve (depending who you ask and what part catalog you look at) between the brake booster and the motor.... as soon as i pulled the hose from the filter my car became an entirely new animal... so i pulled the part off and found it to be completly clogged or broken.. my car right now is running better than it ever has and all because of a $6 part so if i were you i would go out start my car and pull that annoying little thng that no one has ever mentioned before off and see what happens

heres a link to the part

Good one Bill.. :thumb
I shall look at that. How did you determine that it was clogged/broken? Was it visible or did you take it apart?

couldnt get a bit of air through it.... sprayed the crap out of it with carb cleaner (once i ecided i wasnt going to put it back in place) then blew it out with the air hose, even then i could only get a slight amount through.... im telling you i was amazed at how much smoother the car was just at idle when i removed the hose

Oh your talking about the clog by the brake booster:chuckle.

So what is your 1/4 mile before and after you replaced it?

You should go on pinks and in the final race change it out and blow them away:thumb.

I woukl sure appreciate it if more people would start posting in this section, I love my crossfire.

honestly i have no real data on my 0-60 or 1/4 mile... seems every time i try to get on it a trooper is coming the other way:eyerole..... and as much as people bad mouth the crossfire........ i love mine as well:D
