Hi All;
I'm thinking about putting the 17X11 wheels on the back of my 90. I know there is a modification that can be done to narrow it so that the tires don't stick out but I won't have any time for that for awhile. I bolted up the rims today and sure enough, they will stick out a slight amount. I don't want to put the flares on it but need to buy tires for it as mine are going bald. So, the big question for me is - Just sell my 17X11 rims and keep the stock and buy new tires for those OR go ahead and buy the 315 35 R17's and put the tires on the back knowing that some point in the future I'll narrow it to fit.

What I was hoping is for people to post a good picture of their rear tires for those of you that have them on your car where they stick out that half inch. I wanna see what it looks like and see if I can tolerate that for the next year or so. I REALLY wanna go with the wider tires......

Thanks!!

Take a look at the rear wheels/tires on my '92 in the "gallery" in the links below. The wheels are 17x11 36mm (ZR1 offset). They stick out but with the GS flares and splash guards, I think it looks just fine in a agressive sort of way.

Then again, if you change your mind, how about shipping your 17x11 wheels to me so I can have a spare set for racing.

ha ha! Actually I decided to sell them. They are on ebay if you wanna have a look! :) Figured I have plenty of other toys to modify and right now use this car as a driver so just gonna keep things simple.
