Hi folks,

I'm encountering a weird problem with my '99 roadster. When I unlock the car with the key fob (which activates the interior memory settings) the passenger-side mirror will either move out to the right or in to the left as far as possible. In fact, you can see the mirror jump back-and-forth, like you were holding down the adjustment switch after the mirror had reached maximum travel. Also, the memory light on the door will continue to blink until the mirror stops moving.

I've tried resetting the memory with the proper mirror position, but this problem seems to pop-up again and again. Strange thing is, about every 3rd time I get in the car, this doesn't occur.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.....

HI there,
It sounds like you have a problem with the mirror position sensor, and the memory package.
You see, when you activate your transmitter, you are telling the mirrors to go to that position for the memory. So with that, I would say that you would have to have someone monitor the position sensor for the mirror, with a scan tool. My guess is that the sensors inside the mirror are intermittantly shorting out.
Please let us know how you make out, c4c5:hb
