Anyone out there know the significance of the production number? Does this represent all covettes from day one? All chevrolets for the year? or? Mine is: 121,717

Also have trouble filling the gas tank and noticed a repair option, P/N 10353139- changes a part of the fill neck. Has anyone done this? Free at the Dealer? Dealer repair screw-ups and just live with it?

Whaddya mean "trouble filling the gas tank." Do you mean rhat the nozzle clicks off early? That's what mine does. What year is your Vette?

Mine is an '03, here in CA we have vapor recovery nozzles and the "sheath" has to be pulled back in order to pump gas. I was thinking that I was not operating the pump correctly because the pump would stop--before the tank was filled. Turns out there is a fill neck replacement recommendation and saw it here on the tech. pages. see: http://corvetteactioncenter.com/kb/

Mine is an 04 and I have that same problem,at one sunoco station 'down the shore" (there are no beaches in Jersey, you are down the shore) it is almost impossible to fill up. Asked dealer if there was a notice on this knowing there is and they said "no" but bring it in and we will see what we can do. I will once the weather is better and a copy of the notice will be in with my keys.

Hmmmm, 121,717 seems odd. You may want to view our 2003 Identification page here for more information:

As for the gas tank problem, please see this service bulletin in our Knowledgebase for more information that may be of help:
