Prom Chip

Does anyone know if the Prom chip in my ECM can be checked out for proper specifications and possibly programmed to turn my fan on earlier, in my 1990,L98.

On one of the parts websites (corvette Central, Ecklers-can't remember which) I saw an aftermarket sensor that would turn the fan on at 180. have manual over-rides on my 92 with 160 powerstat, will probably go with the sensor on the 93 with the 160 stat.

If you do a search here for Prom or Chip tuner you can find good results. You can buy a hypertech unit out of Mid america or search on the internet for a custom tuner to your liking.
