I'm getting ready to pull the torsional damper to replace my timing set. Are there any tricks that will help? Are there any potential snags to avoid?
Thanks,

Just use the correct puller. The kind that uses the 3 bolt holes in the dampener. Don't let the center puller bolt push directly on the end of the crank, screw in a bolt and push on the head of it with the puller so you don't damage the threads in the crank.

Exactly what Duke said.

Cheers

Richard

And don't forget to use the correct tool when you put it back on. I have one of these and it works excellent!

Your friendly Auto Zone or other parts store will be glad to loan you the appropriate tool.
