Help....

Hi, My wife just bought a 1984 thru e-bay. We have not seen it yet, but will pick it up next week. It has an automatic transmission, not a manual or 4+3. Does that mean ir is a 700R4??
Also, bougth from a dealer with 52000 miles, one owner, reported to be in exellent condition. We ae planning to drive it from Iowa to Maine....Anything that first time Vette drivers/owners should lookout for or watch carefully other than the usual??

Many thanks,

Kris

Just do your normal servicing. I have an '84 and I love it even if it is TBI. It handles and rides like a go-cart. You may want to consider new shocks to help out if you are not happy with the ride. CAC is full of info and you should be able to make your choice from there. There is another forum Cross-Fire Injection Vault that is full of info and help for CrossFire vehicles. The folks over there are just a friendly as the folks here at CAC.

Enjoy - Don't forget to wave! :pat :Steer

Thank you both for answering my questions...We are definitly look forward to Tuesday when we pick it up and start our drive home as Vette owners (well, Vette owner and her husband..LOL)
Thanks again..
