Hello everybody! I am new here, but not new in Corvette world and i would like to introduce my project which i started maybe 3 mounts ago.

I re-designed the old GM Grand Sport flare design. I made them almost twice longer and 1 inch wider. Also, the mounting procedure is way different than it was. No more 3M double side tapes

Post you comment what you think.

So, is this a basic flare that you built up and modified? It came out pretty nice. Theres plenty of room to space wheels out.

It looks good...:thumb

A friend did something similar with a Firebird back in the 70's....He cut out the ribs on a 55 gallon barrel and tac-welded those to his wheel well and built up around that to form a nice rounded flare.

I'd have concerns about cracks because the flares join three panels, all moving independently.

So... how do you mount them?

The good thing about my design is, the flare do not join 3 panels together. The installation is very simple. You mount it to the wheel well

1) Remove the screws from the wheel well
2) Mark the screw holes from the wheel well on the flare
3) Drill the holes
4) Put everything back

So... how do you mount them?

Do chicks dig fender flares? If so are you going into production?

Since, this is not my vette, i do not know if the owner used spacers or not, but i know he put C6 Z06 wheels.(17x9.5 in front, 18x12rear)

The flares are permanently mounted, they are not painted yet, just primed black to match the car.
He is going to shave the flares a little bit more and then he will put that black trim on the flare back to cover any gaps between the body and flare

I think those look very good. That is one mean looking C4.

Have you done any for the wide body molding cars?

I have done many different things. One of my friends had a 03' BMW M3 and he wanted to have bigger wheels. He did the widening part and i pulled the molds. Basically we got 2 front widened fenders, 2 rear widened fenders all in carbon fiber and then he painted to match the car.
