Question: Rear hatch electric pull down on a vert?

Does anyone know if the pull down mechanism from a coupe can be installed on the trunk lid of a convertible? Sure would love this feature over having to use a microfiber cloth to push down the trunk lid to lock it.. Without using that cloth, my car just doesn't run well having all those hand prints on that gorgeous Crystal Red paint.

I have this on my 09 coupe, and it won't help you not get fingerprints on the paint. It only pulls it down the last inch or so, and you have to push it down pretty hard to get it to catch, lastly I forget about it all the time and end up slamming the lid closed. All that being said I still think it is pretty cool.
