Rear Hatch Striker

Hey everyone, so I was just out for a cruise sunday morning and rumbling along @ ~30mph my back window pops open. Luckily I immediately pulled into a gas station. I walked to the back of the car and the rear striker...U shaped portion had broken completely off the bracket that attaches to the rear window. The U portion of the striker was still in the latch. I pressed the latch release and it shot the piece about 5 feet away.

Has anyone had thier striker break off. The only place I can find one is Corvette Central and they are back ordered until the 24th of this month and the price is $42 + $5 dollars shipping.

Anyway, Call J&D corvette in Ca and they will have a used one. Also 20th st auto parts in Phx Az will have one.
