Rear view mirror

I just received the replacement glass for the pssg side mirror........it came with a 2" pice of dbl sided tape and looks real cheap. Anyone ever install one of these and should i bust out the old glass 1st. was thinkin about usin super glue or silicone.

I don't know about taking out the old glass, but I wouldn't use SG or silicone...mirrors use a special adhesive. You could ruin the mirror backing
