Let the comments begin...love it, hate it, indifferent?
It took about 2 hours to grow on me after installing.....
Now I can't imagine going back. I drive my 81 a lot and
though its got some signs of age and miles, I love how people
flock to look at all C3 Vettes. The rear louver just makes it
look all that more exotic to me I guess.

The rear louver definately reminds me of Death Race 2000 and
all things 70's like..:)

EDIT Lotta folks wanted more pics...heres a page with several

Whatever blows your dress up dude! Looks good with the black on black, cool looking ride. They aint for me with my red ride, but urs looks nice. Kinda like Batman is inside .

I put a set on my black vette and have never been happier! When I was out in the 29 Palms,Ca they definately helped keep the interior cooler!

It does look good black-on-black.

http://spoilers4less.com/wp10523.html (Aluminum Louver) The one I went with

I posted here a few months ago and the general consensus was go aluminum....The ABS version looked a little to Firebird like......

This forum has always been a great resource for us at the L81 Registry. I have never been steered wrong and the folks here are some of the most helpful on the Net..:)

Thanks for all the great feedback..!

Thats so funny....The day after I bought this car in 2001, my wife said it looked like the Batmobile....So Placed a small Batman sticker on the inside of 1 door... Its been there ever since and we still refer to my car as the Batmobile ...LOL

(Guess I need a red light on top, a cape and some Blue Spandex...:)

I think it looks really cool! :upthumbs And it helps in keeping your interior cooler? What's not to like! Sounds like a WIN-WIN situation to me. ;)

Save The Wave! :w

Damn..I don't know what it is about them..but I like em....woot!

I think I prefer the wrap around ABS type. Hey 81 corvette guy, do you have any other pix with rear angle views? The profile looks very good. Curious to see what they look like from other views as well. I live in a warmer climate and I could use a little relief from the sun too.

H3 :w

Here you go bro...couple different angles....

I think they look good. Expecially the black on black.

Thanks for the extra pix. They look goooood! I've got the dark blue metallic paint and I think they would definitely give mine the batmobile look. Now if I could rig up that flame shooting out the back.... :lou

81' Corvette Guy,
Where did you get your rear tail lights? The face on them looks to be more flat than the ones I've seen offered from alot of Corvette Suppliers.

Chiller,

I got them from another forum member..used great price. They are the regular bubble tail lamp lenses that can be bought through all the aftermarket catalogue vendors. This was the complete kit with the lenses and housings...that fit great and (i think) look great..thanks for the compliment bro..! Joe!

Niec Louvers. here are mine...They call mine the Batmobile as well!!!

Andy

I think the same way about the C3s and the louvers. I got louvers on my second C3 and haven't had a C3 without since. I'm on my 4th C3 now and still have louvers.

My dog travels with me most of the time and the louvers help keep the area behind the seats cool for her.

I don't know why they are not still being made, so the used prices vary all the time.

Just my 2 cents worth,

Gary

Instead of the louvers...has anyone had that back glass tinted? Or is the curve too much for the film?

I think I like the ABS ones...the link to the original poster does not seem to work?? I would like to see what the aluminum ones look like on the car.
