I'm going to remove my wiper arms since I don't drive in the rain :cool. Is there a screw, or are they compressed on ;help

I dont drive at night, so I'm removing my headlights

OneTimeSig: gosh I hope you're joking here mike!

I don't use my brakes all that much so....nevermind. :cool

If memory serves, there is a little tab at the base of each wiper arm. Squeeze tab and wiper arms are supposed to lift up and off.

Leave them on! When you remove them you have to fill up 6 holes.. ow sorry, no rain for your vette so you can leave the holes open I think...;)
But I think you'll have a hard time removing them with the dash still in place. You need to be way up and also part of the wiring harness is hanging on one of the bolts with a clip. Good luck :)

Here's a thought why you might want to keep them ;)

:w Mike,

Should you ever decide to show the car NCCC (esp. Concours) you'll receive point deductions for not having them. And I have no idea what NCRS would say.

It's been so long since I was involved in judging or tech inspections for Auto Cross Racing, I don't remember if they check wipers or not. As I recall they even have a Tech inspection for Rally's..

Besides, the wipers are fairly well hidden on our 1981's and just maybe, you might get caught out one day in a surprise rain... I know if you are coming to Cleveland for CruiseFest V, you might want to wait until you get home from CruiseFest before you remove them ;) Every, EVERY CruiseFest so far has had a shower, storm roll through during the activities ;shrug ... It's almost a tradition :ugh
