Help! replacing popup headlights on a 2002

Has anybody removed their popup headlights and replaced them with the fixed type? I just got a 2002 and am interested in going with the fixed projector lights, which I've seen from $450-1200. Are they worth it, is it an improvement? Thanks

I haven't replaced mine with non pop-up headlamps but from everything I've read about them they are an improvement over the OE lighting and front end drag is reduced as well. It's a matter of taste, do you like the hidden/pop-up lights or the fixed?
