Ride height adjustment ? about Dream car Garage L-88

How did they get that car to sit so low and what wheel and tire combo allowed them to fill up the wheel wells like they did? I have the VB&P performance + suspension which includes 550lb frnt springs and the 330 composite rear. I will be running 17" rims with 255/55/17 tires. Can you lower the rear by tightening up on the composite spring bolts on either end? I just love the way that L-88 sits and looks going down the road. This is truly a case of , "How'd they do that?"

I watched that show as well. As I recall, they had 2 inch shorter springs in the front. You actually lower the rear of the car by loosening the spring bolts. That's why you need longer ones to lower them.

bob , how much can you lower the rear before the tire angle changes? it's on my list of to do's later

You're getting too specific for me. All I know is that the longer srping bolts allow you to lower the car. I always assumed that it would be lowered to coincide with the front so didn't perceive there to to be an issue such as you have elaborated.

robin as you lower the car, the tire will start to lean inwards so youll have to adjust the camber again.
 
You know, I need to lower mine too.

I have the rear sitting up a 1/2 inch higher than the front. So, maybe 2 1/2 in the rear and 2 in the front- I think those were te measurements. I am speaking of the top of the tread to the bottom most portion of the wheel well. I have great ground clearance, that helps with the sidepipes, but its still too high.

Mine looks like a monster truck the way the body sits. Most people think it looks fine. Infact I think only 3 people have ever agreed with me. I need lower front springs and longer rear bolts.
