Roller rockers and valve cover

I'm almost done with my 355 project. I finished adjusting the rockets and installing the intake last night. I started to put the valve covers on and ran into a problem.

The valve covers go on, but it appears the baffle is hitting where it slides between the rocker arms. I noticed a lip on one side of the edelbrock valve cover. Can I put them on backwards? Right now I have the lettering facing up on both sides. Will it hurt to remove the baffles?

I noticed on the passenger side, rocker #6 looks slightly turned. I don't know if the valve cover moved it or if I have the push rod guide on slightly off. Can I take the lash out without removing the intake if I readjust the push rod guide?

You can run without baffles. :)

I had a '94 LT1 that ran full rockers back in the 90s with no baffles. I had to remove them to clear the rockers. Sounds familiar, huh? :chuckle

The downside is that you might get more oil into the breather/PCV system.

Thanks for the replies. I'm reading the rocker link now. If all else fails I'll remove the baffles and put an inline filter in the pvc hose.
