im hooking up a xm in the C-5 and am wondering where to get power hooked to the accessory side of the ignition ? i would like it to turn off with the key.
thanks jeff

power w/key

I don't have a Vette yet, but what I've done with 'regular' cars, is attaching an 'in-line' connector on the factory key switched wire that leads to the radio. I'm not fan of 'Scotch-Locs', I usually use the ones that still crimp around the wire, but its more of a "T" style. You put a male end connector on the wire you need power to, and simply plug it in. It makes for uninstalling easy also, cause you dont have to remove the "T" that you crimped on the power wire.

Once again, this is what I've always done on basic cars, I don't know if Vette's would be any different? Just my 2 cents.

...with fuse...

Hey Jeff, I forgot to add, I usually put a fusable link on the wire also (in your case, the one from your xm unit to the whichever of the car's power wires you decide to use). Let me know how you end up doing it, as I have a C5 in my near future! :)

thanks i just need to find which wire to tap into
