Here is a little side project I have been work'n on....

Mike - your project looks interesting. I'll look forward to photos as it progresses.

I have to ask - where do you find room to put it all? I've wanted to do a couple of dioramas with some of my 1:18 Corvettes but I have no room to display them. ;squint:

:w

You should have been here after Katrina. 90 to 100 degree days and no power for 2 weeks. At times I thought my brains were cooking in my skull. :mad
I can't believe how anybody survived that trajedy, it had to be awful. Those two days of no power were hell on me, and I still had running water. :ugh

Lots of patience, family members with generators to run a few hours a day... and gallons and gallons of drinking water. :L

AND the kindness and generosity of strangers.

:w

Mike, how is your scale version of the shop coming?

Talking with the National Corvette Museum this weekend, we had a few questions...

  • How large is the display (L x W)?
  • Is it in a case or otherwise protected (plexi-cover)?
  • How long would it be available for - and when?
Thanks Mike! :beer

The MCM looked bare without Mike's great display.

i have been thinking of a few new projects like the asc spyder and the conan v12 vette and other rare c4's not like i am going to build all of them
that would be nuts:W:W:W:W

Here is the plan:

I have 2 displays working with a target of Jan-Feb 09, as they had suggested the soonest they could have space.

1. The Old Lyme shop...it is approx 3x4 foot and will be on a stand with a plexiglass surround with glass top....
2. The second one is a shop display of the Pratt-Miller C6R race shop. this one is about the same size and will be boxed and covered with plexiglass.

Does this still sound good?

Well this is the concept....

2 floor lifts, lots of tools and a sample of each car?

what do ya think?...about 3x3"

does anyone know the height of the front window from the asc spyder
or the callaway speedster or has pics of the asc spyder vette?
those two would look real cool in front of my 1/18 scale garage:D;)
