The DRL trick will work if you pull on the e-brake before starting the engine.

Did not work on my 03 Stick.
Tried several ways from your post but no luck.
Heard about the eBreak trick when I had the 98, did not work by pulling up one click either.
This brings up the point of what happens if you drive around with the eBreak pulled up 1 click?

Depending on how tight the e-brake was adjusted before you started driving around with it engaged, you could wear the e-brake lining. You might need to re-adjust the e-brake.

The E-brake trick works, but once the DRLs are on, they won't go back off. You'll have to set the brake 1 (or maybe 2) clicks before you start your car. Then the DRLs will stay off.
If you let the brake down all the way with the car running, the DRLs will turn on. Going back up one or two clicks at this point does nothing.
I like the DRL's however.... lets people see me better so less chance of some intellectually challeneged individual pulling out in front of me. Plus you can see other C5's coming, so you can get ready to WAVE!!

PS: This also worked with my 1997 Camaro.

Dave, there is no cure for intellectual challenge (short of an outright ban). The only thing to do is to drive as defensive as possible.
