I have a 1984 Corvette...Stock...Purchased about 2 years ago...Last year, after winter storage, I connected the battery and the security light was showing on the instrumental pannel...Everything worked except that when I tried to turn the key it would not crank...Being as handy as I am, I by-passed the system by going under the car and tricking the started and the car started...Now every so often when I get into the car it just wont start because the security light is on. I think it has to do with the fact that the stock security system somehow triggers the power not to be sent to the starter...I would like to dissable the security system in the 84 Vette...Unless it is not what needs to be done in order to avoid this problem...I should also mention that the door locks are broken and that is what is connected to the original security system in the car, but I disconnected those wires and it is no longer the problem...Any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance.
