Shift Knobs

HAS ANYONE EVER CHANGED THERE SHIFT KNOB ON A 93 6 SPEED VETTE? IF SO HOW DO YOU GET THE KNOB ITSELF OFF?

I changed out the shift knob on my ZR-1 to a custom fabricated T-handle. Looks pretty sharp. To get the old one off simply pop off the cap with the gear pattern on it. A small flathead screwdriver will work. Underneath there, I believe you'll see some sort of tab........it's been quite some time since I pulled mine off. Simply remove the tab and the stock knob just slides off. My new one went on by screwing it in and then screwing a very small allen head screw in the side of the handle.

Also, could you do us a favor and possibly take the "caps lock" off your sentences? Some people take it the wrong way and it appears your shouting..........thanks. :cool

i was able to get the cover which shows the gears off, but im not sure where to go from here. there is a silver clip about an inch long and i cant figure out how to remove it
