heres a strange question I have a lock mecagnism on my shifter button,(the button you depress to move shifter) the key for it looks kinda like a vending machine lock, has anyone seen one of these locks on another vette is it a option for 82 or a aftermarket thing, I also need a spare key for the thing where would I go to get one of these special keys ... Ive seen other 82's shifter knobs and mine doesnt look the same at all, also heres another question hopefully someone can answer when I cut my roof off, where the t-tops latched done in the rear there was some sort of a switch in them with wires on it, Im thinking it was for a security system of some sort looked kinda factory installed because the wiring for them was part of my roof wiring harness, if this was a alarm Ive never seen anything in the car to arm it, and again Ive talked to a few other vette owners and they said they never seen anything like that on their cars either .....
