66427-450,
Man, what a beautiful display of Vettes! This has got to be heaven on earth!!
Hey 66427-450, thanks for the comments. The tires are Pirelli P4000 and the wheels are used 15x6 '60's era American Racing Torque Thrusts. I got lucky on the wheels and bought them from the Wheel Place in San Jose, California. Sam refinished these. Some (and I tend to agree) have said the shade of grey should be a little darker. Plan on doing that b/4 she's back on the street. The offset should be 3.75 and these are 3.5. I have a set of Michlin radials, narrow whites in a 215.x70Rx15 mounted on steel wheels w/factory caps so I tried to stay with that same size but the rears just didn't give me enough space at the lip of the fender ('bout my baby finger in space) to give me a good feeling. So, I went down one size to a 215.65xR15. All in all they fill the well pretty good. Click on my website for a closeup view.
Hey Allcoupedup, we must've gone to different schools together. Right now, my '5's missing it's engine and trans too. I'm in a hold (not exactly as I'm spending my time cleaning and prepping the engine bay and small parts for paint) waiting on the machine shop for the engine, the tranny shop (Master Works...took JohnZ's suggestion) for trans, the carb shop (Jerry Macneish) for the carb and Modern Cylinder Heads for the porting of the heads. My garage looks like a candidate for a swap meet :L. Speaking of garages, yours is to die for. You could stack 'em 3 high almost. Love that coupe look. Seems like those that have the 'vert's tend to long for that coupe and vice/verse. That red is magnetic. Nice.
