Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh... Thanks, I needed that. I haven't had a chance to use my Vette in a week. That picture is great. PA is a great state to drive in. Lots of smooth roads and plenty of twisties. Just watch out for the deer!

Yeah, it's a great road for cruzin. That's River road (route 32) in PA. It runs along the Delaware river on the opposite side of Trenton NJ. And yes, the deer are pretty bad this year.

Sorry to hear you can't drive your Vette, I hope it's only temporary. Are there any withdrawal symptpons? Here's a quick fix? :Steer

I thought that road looked familiar, I used to live in Trenton and have run that many times in the past although the traffic must be much worse then I remember. My wife is planning a trip east over the holidays you will have to keep me posted on the roads, maybe I bring the C5 it hasnt been east yet.
ps
is the covered bridge still off Aquetong (sp) and can you still get air further down? ;LOL

I usually make a few day trips to Port Jervis. There are lots of great roads along the Delaware river. NY (north and west of NYC), NJ and PA have some of the greatest roads and scenery in America.

I've just been too busy.
The withdrawal symptoms are as follows:
A look of deep sadness and loss at the sight of any Corvette on the road.
Pulling into every Chevrolet Dealer in the area and looking at Corvettes.
Playing with Corvette toys when wife and kids are asleep.
An unusually large accumulation of Corvette magazines on nightstand.
Frequent trips the garage even at 1 am.
Talking out loud to my Corvette. Mostly compliments and apologies.
Spending way too much time on the CAC forum.

The traffic isn't too bad, I just avoid it on weekends. I haven't been to any covered bridges yet, I only drive River road from the 'Trenton Makes" bridge up to New Hope where I sometimes stop for lunch and let the wife look arouind. I'll look into the covered bridge and the air. But bring your C5 east, there's plenty of really cool winding roads in PA. BTW, This is a "post a picture of your Vette" thread. Where's your PIC?

way back on page 2 post 23 ;) I need to take some shots of both cars together, but have been driving the C-5 too much

you are missing a lot of good sceenery and roads by stopping at New Hope, Try finding your way to the Gap and back :cool

Trying to post my pictures again... had to shrink one down enough to reach the limit.:CRASH

Yes, that is a Porsche everyone is gawking at. A new club member (PCA) brought a '77 930 out to breakfast that day. First club event just 10 days after I bought the 'vette. Yeah, I got picked on a little by the club, but everybody came around and told me how great the car was. Just not in the general forum where everyone would hear.:L

When is the next trip????!!!!!!

I have the same story, I work too much also. Sometime I go two or three weeks without a ride. I too experience the same symptoms but I'm cured after just one ride. Feel better

I saw your "economy car". nice ride. Definitly get your other Vette posted.

I'm on vacation next week and have nothing planned so I think I'll take a trip up River road to the gap. I'll bring the camera and get a picture of the covered bridge if it's still there. Have a good holiday.

:upthumbs Dog gone nice looking Vette for sure! I have a 2000 Coupe, with a :Steer 6 speed, is your's auto or manual 6-speed?

Hey Brett
Check the Southeast section when it gets a little closer to spring. I'm sure something will be brewin' :D

My '01 is a six speed, (1SC pkg) with polished wheels. Just turned 13K this summer. I just tucked her into bed for the winter....these upstate NY winters you know. I'm suffering withdrawal already, April seems to be a long tim from now.

Love that Black '00 coupe as well! It looks very sexy and dressed for business! What color is the interior??

You know, I have to admit, I hav'nt seen a C5 in any color that I hav'nt liked!!

My 00 Black Coupe also has black interior. Pretty well stock other than the exhaust, and a performace chip. 6-speed, memory seating both sides, HUD, polished 00 wheels. I have been the proud owner for about 6 months now, looked at I think hundreds before I found exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to get the windows tinted but I am afraid I won't be able to find anyone that will do it to suit me. The back window has to be hard to do and make look right. I saw one this summer that looked like crap, so I am a little gun shy!! Like you I have it put up for the winter, winters here in Nothern Indiana are about like NY, maybe not quite as bad but some winters it has been pretty brutely. Can't wait for spring. Are you going to make it to the 2005 :CAC Cruise Fest this year in Bowling Green?

Actually, I haven't given it any thought. When is it? My wife and I did make a trip to the National Corvette museum exactly three years ago this weekend. It is kind of hard coordinating the time off with my wife, unfortuately, she doesn't have the vacation time that I do. Last summer, we made it to Carlisle. Before I got my '01, I had an '87 coupe for 15 years and never went. It was my first time and we had a blast. Have you been there?

Dave

Dave check out the link below for full details to the 2005 :CAC Cruise Fest to Bowling Green, KY. Memebers are making arrangements as we speak, and a lot of the ones that are going are staying at the Baymont Inn there. they are giving us a special rate and holding a block of rooms for us. I have never been to Carlisle yet; sure want to one of these years I hear it is pretty :cool

Check out the link below hope you can join us, the more the merrier!!!!!!!
