Just curious, but as I look at my blank digital display with the turn signal indiactors on, I wonder, if the problem is as I have been told, a bad ground, could you not take a thin piece of wire attached to the ground side of one of the dash halogen display lamps socket and attach it to an alternate ground thus back feeding the ground to the other bulbs in the display? Just not real keen on taking the unit apart. Of course I would have to figure out which pin is hot and which is ground.

I'm wondering if this is the same problem I'm having with my '85-the dash works except that I have no lights working on it and the 2 turn indicators and the high beam light are on constantly. I'm hoping someone has an idea about what to do.

I tried the other fix of running a new ground and tying it onto the two grounds that enter the unit, but to no avail. All the gauges work just fine you just can't see them at night. This is a well disscussed topic, but I am willing to try the easier fix if possible. If all that is wrong is a lost ground between the boards, tying into a light socket would cure that. Otherwise I will have to send it out, I am not that confident that I would find the problem if I pull it apart myself.
