A LT4 is a factory "hot " version of the LT1 ; still 350ci
Came with better heads / intake and upgraded ( perf ) internals
see
http://www.malcams.com/legacy/misc/LT4.htm
Made 330Hp to LT1's 300

A 383 is a bored out / stroked 350 which could be a LT1/LT4 , Vortec or regular SBC engine

thanks agian vetteoz! I see you have a 700r Transmission, I do too recently rebuilt due to improper shift kit installed on the previous owner( he didnt drill holes for the valve flexplate thingy, where the balls shift) thats incredible the amount of trq yours can handle!
