How many of you,in the warm weather park your L81 in the garage with the t-tops off. Or do you put them on and take them off as needed? Ken

I leave mine on almost all the time, I've had them off a few times in the evening or for cleaning. They are definitely on more than they are off..

Bud

Kinda like wax on wax off...Off today but back on tonight.
Garage :mad that's another story.

Topless in the garage

I leave my tops off during the summer. You know....If I wasnt so lazy I would put them on every time. Alot easier to dust off the outside then dust off the inside. Thats the major drawback I see to leaving them off in the garage. The reason I really leave them off is because I put the tops in my closet in my bedroom to protect them from the kids and thier bikes in the garage. Also have a car cover but that mainly stays off in the summer time too.

I leave them on almost all the time. My vette is stored about 1.5 miles from my house so i like the idea that it is closed. (before the resto)

Groeten Peter.

mine stay on unless its warm enough to take them off!!!

I leave them off during the summer, but they are stored in storage bags and are put on the deck behind the seats and strapped down. Got to have them with me in case of unexpected downpours.

t-tops

I think that i will keep them off during the nice weather.(which is only when i drive it anyway),but i have them like Jeff,in the protective bags, strapped to the rear cargo deck.

As far as dust in the garage,I put a clean old sheet over the "cockpit" area
or interior to keep the dust out of the inside. Ken

I leave mine off in the garage with the car cover on to keep out the dust, I also keep them in the protective bags and strapped in the back in case of rain.

Mine's garaged too, but I leave mine on to keep dust out of the interior.

When I'm out, I keep this behind the seats. I love it!

Whoa, there's a pic from the Blue Devil archive! You're gonna give PaintDaddy a heart attack! :L
I'd never trust my glass T-tops on the back of the car...not that I even have that option. The mirror tint scratches sooo easily...

They are better protected there than in place. They hook in just like they were in place and are protected from wind and debris by the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

I've had them there on the mountain runs, at 70 or so on the freeway, etc., and no problems.

I keep mine on the car. Dust is one reason, the other is the alarm.. Yes, i keep my alarm on in the car, in the garage.. Ya never know.. ;)

Bob: the straps over the tops would scratch the willies out of the tinted mirrored i have. Just washing them gives them swirls.. :crazy

:w

I have the factory t-top holders for mine, but I don't know as I would trust it enough to hold the tops down at high speeds.:ugh
It seems like it would be very easy for the tops to go flying off the back of the vette on the highway! :eek
