That Speedster is ALL Me ;) ( I am dreaming here :) )

Wow... what a car, and what a price!

Callaway has a bunch of twin turbos on their website for sale now... those are the ones I am starting to look into. I think it is about time to move on from my LT4. I wish I could move all the way up to the super speedster! One step at a time though;)

I know this belongs in the C6 territory but that's the kind of stuff Im talking about when it comes to interiors. Those seats are slammin':cool and the color is off the meat rack:_rock GM needs to be doing that kind of work:duh so we don't have to pay through the nose in labor charges and all that in the aftermarket world:nonoFeel free to move this if need be along with the picture of that interior since I'm a novice at all the technology stuff.;shrug

Lil' Red - don't feel like you need to say sorry for posting in here - I agree that interior is beautiful :) I will add though, the Callaway interior option was a $15k job - the ones that have it are really amazing as the dash, speakers, everthing!! is in leather and rich wool.
post on:m

I know the Call stuff is top of the line but I was saying GM needs to look at those seats and upgrade the leather, give more color combos, the piping ect...and the 15k is exactly what I'm talking about in the aftermarket world. Even if you just wanted to upgrade the seats alone you're going to have to spend bucks!:CAC is the place to be!:Twist

I beg to Differ

My personal opinion on the baddest Twin Turbo is the 1994 ZR1 Supernatural Twin Turbo Callaway. With around 800hp at a boost level of just over 12lbs makes this a real bad mother.

This car is capable of higher horsepower by simply turning up the boost. Top side is just over 22lbs producting well over 1100hp+ and the best part is the car is built to take it. The owner lives in upstate New York and is a good driver but not able to handle the high side horsepower. This car is also capable of speeds over 275mph.

Does anyone one have tested stats on these super speedster?
What kind of work was done to produce this power range. I need updating here.

My two cents worth.. Barry car is for sale now if anyone is interested.

Take care all,
Stan

Stan, although Barrys car is indeed sweet (I have seen both in person) This Callaway Super speedster is by far, the baddest:BOW it is one of a kind, as it is the only Speedster that has a hard top attachment made for it :)
This car's stats are 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and a standing 1/4 mile in 11.2@129.85mph

It is also the only speedster based upon a LeMans body, the only speedster w/ a rear spoiler and one of two Super Speedsters that were based upon the Twin Turbo LT5 powerplant - This has to be the ultimate Callaway :m

the twin turbo lt5 would be a kick. you need some really good gas to run 1100 hp through an LT5 at that boost level and the car would be even more traction limited. that has to be an ureal kick to drive at 250+ though. still real scarey!!!

that car is an animal but I have something else in mind personally. details to follow!!

If I hadn't just bought a truck, I might consider it:D.

Schuwheeeet!

Stan,

I have to Ditto Chris's comments!... In the price range of $150K(+) not only should you get the beef, you should also get to do it in style. Barry's car is a monster but doesn't compare in styling.

I should really sell my fleet and go for it!... This just makes me really :crazy

Lets see: 2000 XKR Convertible + 1991 Callaway Twin Turbo Convertible Aerobody + 1987 Buick GNX + 1956 Ford Thunderbird + 2000 Toyota MR2 + 1997 Dodge Ram = One SEXY & BAD Super Speedster :J :beer :crazy :Roll :love

OK, back to reality!

Luigi
:cool

One of the uglyiest Corvettes I`ve ever seen, no wonder it`s for sale. ;LOL :r

If thats the super speedster Im thinking of....didn't it used to be red w/ Aerobody?

I'd have to guess that that car would command over $200 K. Several years ago at Carlile, the yellow/blue Speedster was bid-up to $135K - that''s a nice price, but the one above is a LeMans body, SuperSpeedster....definitely worth a nice premium over a "standard" speedster!

That car really is one mean machine.I was just curious as to why nowhere in the for sale ad does it mention that it is a LT5? Also is the 1994 twin turbo ZR1 you mentioned the blue one that was for sale at Carlisle a few years ago? JERRY
