For those of you that may have been following my dilemma, here is an update. I have an '04. The dealer said I needed a new receiver for the TPMS as they could not get the signal from the tire pressure sensors to read on the DIC. The receiver also serves the signals from the key FOBs and it works with them. The dealer attempted to get the part from the dealer network and GM with no luck. After waiting a month I contacted GM. They were very responsive and timely in handling this problem, however, there are no receivers for the TPMS available. None! GM reports the problem is with the manufacturer of the receiver who is having difficulty obtaining components for the receiver from one of its suppliers. I continue to wait but, this is disappointing. I just don't understand how this problem can continue without GM working around the problem and perhaps using a receiver from newer Vette models.

The latest on the TPMS receiver. GM still does not have the part and is waiting for the manufacturer who is waiting for parts from a vendor. It has been almost three months.

Still Waiting

GM has yet to come up with a receiveer for the TPMS. I would think that after three months they would have been able convince their vendor of the importance of manufacturing more of these safety related components. Having a safety related part unavailable for three months is a real black eye for GM. $70,000 cars and no way of determining if you have a flat unless you do it by manually.

If the part number is 10312535, there are 2 dealerships in the nation who have it.

Alexandria VA and a place in Florida.

Maybe that will help jog the process along.

Allthebest, c4c5

Thanks, c4c5. I got a call from GM last Friday. They said their vendor for the receiver was in the process of manufacturing more and that they expected them to ship in the next couple of weeks. Too bad, for me as I found one in a salvage yard. Had it installed and luckily it's working fine.

If it WORKS for the fobs its is RECEIVING

The receiver works for the fobs and the TPMS sensors. If it receives fobs rf IT IS WORKING.

If this is a warranty item OK. Otherwise I think you are being sold a bill of goods.

Gene Culley at GMPARTSHOUSE.COM should be able to source the receiver.

bighank, the old one was working with the fobs but, not the sensors. When they installed the new receiver they still had trouble getting the senors to read. Then the mechanic used a different to to learn the sensors and it worked. Makes me think that the old receiver was okay and the problem was that the mechanic was not using the right tool to learn the sensors. I tried to learn the sensors using a large magnet but failed and so it goes..... I am just glad they are finally working.

Strong magnet is all you should need - magnet just turns on the sensor

Hope this was a warranty item and you didn't pay for a receiver you didn't need. If you did go back and demand a refund.
My "Corvette specialist" dealer didn't know about the squeaky idler TSB and replaced tensioners, belts (twice) and the water pump.
I finally replaced the idler pulley and fixed the problem myself.
So much for dealerships (stealerships).
