I will like to if is true that if i put metal tire valve steem air cap it will ruin my tpms sensors truth yes or no

cuvette: I have metal caps on our 03 since April of 2004 and the tpms have not failed to be accurate to date. [knock on wood]

No offence, but where do people come up with this crap... The sensor comes from the factory with a chrome METAL cap...:bash

I have chrome caps on mine. The problem is not that they could ruin the sensor but in some cases ,because the cap and the stem tend to be disimilar metals , can tend to fuse together. The other problem is that people tend to overtighten them and break the stem. A dab of antiseize and easy on the muscle and you wont have any problems!
