Awesome!!!!!!!!!

Enclosed Hodges Hauler

A week before Bloomington, I actually called on two Hodges trucks - I figured the money saved on transport costs, I could always flip 'em and make close to what I had in em - Well, My luck, both were sold :(

One was a 2002 EFI GMC, the other was a 2000 7.3 Turbo Diesel - 18k & 24k a piece :eek

...now I see this :D

I think for a hauler, it would be tough to beat - If only it was a diesel, I would bid on it then...

Mangusta1969 - weren't you looking for one like that????????
Enjoy :m

Since I have hauled racecars for years and we run traveling series, the enclosed route is the only way to go . It is great security for when you are staying over nite and things stay MUCH cleaner and then there is the rain factor. The less expensive way to go is the truck and trailer route.

I agree that a truck / trailer is oftem more practical - but that enclosed Hodges certainly has a :cool Cool factor to it :upthumbs

I wish I had a (long enough) space to park a 44 or 48 ft gooseneck :D

Like I said, now your talking! I know you like the diesels, but when you can get a clean unit like that, big block, crew setup, enclosed, and a wind deflector to boot and without breaking the bank, how can you go wrong?
oops, might have to bid!

That is an amazing truck!
Two things aboutit I like - one, the Ext. Cab (to sleep in during a trip) and two, the double ramp door makes for low profile loading an ease :upthumbs

What I don't like is a lack of an OD, and the fact it is over 3,000 miles away...

Happy bidding to whoever wants that sweet rig! :m

...especially a good looking deal when compared to something like this:

1994 Chevy C3500 Car Hauler

850-1127739970805.jpg
Rebuilt 383 Chevy with only 2500 miles, overdrive trans, a/c, headers, tow package, Hodges bed with winch. Bed was painted last year, just replaced the starter, fuel pump and exhaust. Only used to haul my personal cars. I can take 2 cars with my trailer attached. Asking $11,900.00 or make offer, possible trade for 62-72 Novas, 64-72 Chevelles, 67-73 Camaros, 55-57 Nomads, or Chevy station wagons, no race cars or major projects. Thanks for looking. Contact Phone Number: 630-664-1161Location: LEMONT, IL

:upthumbs I agree that is a hauler But! for that money one of the speedsters could be sitting in my garage!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for me that's not even a close decision but then I'm not 89X3 yet either. Besides if you had to go that far to get it I'm suure there is a west coast Callaway that needs a ride back to Va.

:beer Ike

1979 GMC Truck. 350 ci engine, automatic transmission. Runs Good. Body fair. Transporter area is in very good condition. I used it to haul a street stock and an E-mod this past season. Winch included. (Generator fires but will not run constantly. I was told it needed a carb rebuild). Contact Phone Number: 216-496-8242Location: CORTLAND, OH

Sorry Chris,

I wouldn't drive 1 mile in this thing knowing i have a Callaway in the back! You have currently 3x all the luxury and power to drive from coast to coast in the states but to preserve that you would downgrade yourself into tormenting yourself in driving this? Maybe cheap but no style! sorry ;)

Peter, yeah, it is a no frills truck - I bet it was very nice at one time though - look at the flooring :cool

I did look at a 1990 F700 w/ sleeper box on the back - It had a 24 ft hauler box and was originally owned by Lake Forrest Sportscars and used as a Ferrari Hauler :cool It had Ferrari floormats and bright red paint. A nice truck for sure, the sleeper had A/C and was a 6.9L Diesel /w/ an Allison Automatic

I keep going back to looking at Hodges Hauler (flatbed trucks) but in reality, once my daily driver finally dies, I will more than likely pull the trigger and buy an F350 SD CC Dually and a longer trailer - maybe 44 ft++.

90 Callaway just bought a real nice hauler for his Callaway - his trailer is amazing! :cool His truck is VERY nice as well :upthumbs

Anyone else here have a nice rig or hauler for their Corvettes?? :w
