Tranny filter

I just picked up a couple of filter kits from Chevy for the 85 and 82 and noticed that they require possibly having to change the pan as the new filter has a longer neck. Anyone dealt with this? I have no plans to change anything that doesn't need replacing. :(

Not really Ken. I went and replaced the pan with the new GM part. It is considerably stronger than the original. Only cost a couple of bucks so why not. I still have a small leak in tranny fluid.
I'm gonna change the gasket again but do it on a lift. Hopefully it's the last time for another year. What really matters is she is running super. The strangest problem was the rough idle (miss) at 900-1000rpm only. Drove me nuts. My mech. figured it out in a minute. Weak spring in the EGR. Slight adjustment, now she is running 100% better.
Thanks for asking. See ya at sharkfest!:w
