Hey Vette Buds!
The good news is my '93 will be coming outta the pro shop after it was sideswiped by Zippy-the-Pinhead on Feb. 23. If you read my depressing post around that time, you'll recall how ZipT.H. was so busy trying to cross 4 other lanes of traffic to get to KFC (w/out looking), he opened my car up like a can-o-worms. Well the Vette is ready, BUT the pro shop guys are waiting on GM to send the airbag!!! They've done 2 spec stat (i think that's what they called it), requests and after 2 weeks, nothing.
Anybody have any ideas on the availability of NEW airbags? To speed up this process, I called Contemporary Corvette and they said they have them @ $400, but the pro shop guys here were reluctant (liability-wise) to use them. I know a simple phone call would've straightened it out as to whether or not the airbag is "in-the-box-brand-new" or salvaged from a damaged Vette, but hey..., I handed the phone over to the professional and he broke the connection before asking this pertinent question.
Finally, I'm in the market to buy new shocks-NOT Bilsteins!!! No cheapos! What's a good shock-brand name wise?
Thank y'all kindly,
Vee
