HAS ANYBODY EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM?...WHEN I DRIVE MY 87 C4, IT'S HARD TO SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD. THE VISOR IS IN THE WAY. FOR THAT I MEAN THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS. IS THERE A SPECIAL SOMETHING OUT THERE THAT IS MADE SO I CAN SNAP ON AND OFF THE VISOR? I AM ONLY 5'10" SO WHAT DOES THE 6'0" OR TALLER GUYS DO?:confused

I'm 6 ft and I never really noticed to be quite honest. Then again if its nice enough for me to be driving my Corvette my Targa top is out any way. Never really had a problem with it in. I guess I just stopped the car so I can see the light.

I removed mine I'm 6'5, my head brushes the glass top. I use the windshield frame as a visor and I wear sunglasses when it is bright.

I'm only 5'8" and that annoyed me along with my head hitting the roof....AFTER I had put in NEW seat foam....I reinstalled the old foam with the new covers and sit down in the seat again:D

I HAD INSTALLED NEW SEATS IN MINE AND THIS IS WHY I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE VISOR! I THOUGHT ABOUT TAKING THE NEW LEATHER OFF AND PUTTING IT ON THE OLD FOAM. THERE IS A CAR UPHOLSTERY SHOP NEARBY I'LL SEE HOW MUCH THEY WOULD WANT TO DO THIS. EITHER THAT OR REMOVE THE VISOR:upthumbs.

I Know....we even talked about me buying your old ones...but paypal was confusing us and a hastle.....glad for you it didnt work out! :chuckle

I'd seriously consider doing it yourself....I ordered the hog rings and quality pliers from ebay for about $20....and was super easy. I just clipped the hog rings off the new and old foam with a $5 nipper I bought at Harbor freight. BTW, wear safety glasses and not be near anything you dont want hit with an occasional hogring shrapnel! The first one was a little harder but the second one went super easy. I'd probably make some $ if I set up a shop at Carlisle! Probably do several cars a day no problem.
So if you go the professional route they should charge you no more than an hour of labor..but they will certainly try to gouge you! :w
